Giro Athletes to Watch
The 2026 Winter Olympic Games are capturing the world’s attention and Giro athletes are already lighting up the competitions in Milano-Cortina. Against the stunning backdrop of the Dolomites in Italy, our skiers and snowboarders are pushing the boundaries of performance in every discipline, going faster, bigger, and with more style than previous generations could have believed possible. Here are four Giro stars to watch as they chase their dreams and battle for Olympic medals.

Megan Oldham
Canadian Megan Oldham scored Giro’s first Olympic medal of the Milano-Cortina Winter Games, earning Bronze in Women’s Freeski Slopestyle. The 24 year-old crashed hard on her second of three runs, but collected herself and stomped her final run with smooth rail combinations to open smoother on the opening rail section, back-to-back double cork 1260s, and a 900 tail grab to finish it off.

Paula Moltzan
Paula Moltzan has also scored an Olympic Bronze medal in the women’s team combined with Jackie Wiles, besting their compatriots Mikaela Shiffrin and Breezy Johnson. Moltzan learned to ski in Minnesota, before winning a NCAA title while at University of Vermont. After her medal-winning performance in the women's team combined, the two-times World Championship medalist is slated to compete in women's slalom and women's giant slalom.

Zoe Atkin
The UK’s freestyle skier Zoe Atkin is one of the biggest personalities in a sport full of them. The 2025 Halfpipe World Champion is showing stellar form as she heads into the Olympics, grabbing gold medals at the World Cup and X Games in recent months. She has a great role model as she chases Olympic hardware in Milano-Cortina: her older sister Izzy was a bronze medalist in PyeongChang 2018.

Scotty James
Australia’s Scotty James earned a bronze medal in snowboard halfpipe in PyeongChang 2018 and silver in Beijing 2022 - will he grab gold in Milano-Cortina 2026? He certainly has the momentum: James has won the last five X Games Superpipe competitions, equalling Shaun White’s record. And he has the moves: James clinched his most recent X Games win with a never-been-done trick combination: a switch backside 1440 into a backside 1440. Already a legend of the sport, James is looking to secure his place in Olympic history and become Australia’s most decorated Winter Olympian.
